Class Information

Year 4 Class Timetable - Spring Half-Term 1

This is an overview of the Year 4 time table.  On occasion, some lessons will be taught in blocks, as whole days or on a rotational basis.  Where lessons are taught in a block or as a whole day (e.g. a whole day of art to complete a project), we will inform parents / guardians with the necessary information well in advance.

Mr Redfern's PPA is every second Wednesday (Week 2 timetable) and Y4 will be taught by Miss Goodwin on this day.

Forest School will not be taught this term and will return in the Summer term.

For the weeks when the class do not have scheduled swimming sessions, P.E. sessions will be on Thursdays in addition to Wednesdays.

Year 4 Swimming Lesson Schedule 2019/2020

This year, we will be continuing with 45minute swimming sessions.  This means that the children will get extra development time in the pool compared to previous years when sessions were 30minutes in length.  The sessions will continue to be on Thursday mornings and will remain at Brough Park Leisure Centre, Leek.

Loose fitting clothing for swimming is not advised (other than when required for personal survival skills sessions in the pool- dates for these sessions, if necessary, will be texted to parents in advance) due to the drag created, which may affect the confidence and / or buoyancy of developing swimmers. For this reason, the school asks parents to ensure that their children wear suitable, close fitting clothing during their swimming lessons and not baggy swim shorts. A swimming cap is also required for those children with hair that flows below the neckline and / or in eyes (for both boys and girls).
