Covid-19 Forest School Policy Update 2020-2021
The recent Government Covid-19 guidelines ask schools to avoid unnecessary changing where possible and as a result we have therefore had to change our Forest School Policy.
If your child has Forest School in the Afternoon we ask that pupils please come to school in the initial layers of their Forest School kit on days they have Forest School, with additional wet and warm weather coats/hats/water proof trousers etc, and wellies/boots in bags to be changed into at the start of their session. These children will then leave school in their forest school clothes after their session has finished.
If your child has Forest School in the Morning we ask that pupils please come to school in their full forest school kit with their wellies/boots in a bag and with their uniform in a strong bag for them to change into.
This decision has been made because we can not predict what the weather will be like during our sessions and we can not allow pupils to sit in school in wet and/or muddy clothing for the rest of the school day. Wet/muddy clothes will then be placed in bags and stored in the Forest School Shed until the end of the school day for pupils to then take home.

Please Note - Due to the need to keep pupils/bubbles apart, any child who is unable to take part in a Forest School session will need to provide a valid reason & parents are politely asked to inform school in advance so that we can work together to make arrangements to accommodate the child during the Forest School session, in line with Government guidelines.
Please direct any queries you may have about Forest School this year to Mr Redfern or Mr Price.
Thank you Mr Redfern and Mr Price
