Ten members of KS2 took part in the Leek Rotary Club Swimathon today and they were truly inspirational. Raising money for The Headway Charity, a VERY worthy cause, they all swam continuously for the full allotted time and showed true grit and determination. It was clear that they were all on a mission to swim as many lengths as they could and they just kept on going. I cannot tell you how proud of them I am. Such mature pupils who wanted to give up their time on a Saturday to raise money to help others less fortunate than themselves. What more could we ask?
A very sincere thank you too to all parents who came along and gave up their time to offer us such SUPER support. I know that it kept us all going and for that we are all very grateful.
Well done swimmers. I hope that you manage to get some well deserved rest now.
