Today, our Year 4 children took the journey to Lichfield Cathedral to experience a range of INSPIRE workshops. The theme of the day was "Journey" and the children learned about the journey taken by St Chad of Mercia until Lichfield became his final resting place in 672. Additionally, all children got to make, personalise and model their very own Mitre.
Other 'journeys' that the children were encouraged to consider were more personal; of their life today, and then of their hopes and dreams of their life to come. It was fascinating to see and hear of the children's aspirations.
The entire class were incredibly mature and thoughtful throughout the day; indeed, their behaviour and contributions moved members of staff from other schools participating in the event to seek out St John's staff to praise both individuals and the class as a whole. It's an honour to be associated with such superb ambassadors.
Well done Year 4- you are such a brilliant class!
