Emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical health. Good mental health allows our pupils to develop the resilience to cope with daily life.
Support for pupils:
Mental health is addressed during PHSE sessions, however if pupils require further support we have a pastoral support system in place where pupils can discuss any issues they're having and next steps can be planned - parental permission will always be sought before this support commences. If a pupil requires more indepth support, a referral to our Young Mind counsellor (who works in school fortnightly) can be made, or we can refer to an outside agency.
If you are concerned about your child's wellbeing, please contact our school office for more information or discuss your concerns with your child's teacher or the SENCo (Mrs Stone / email@example.com).
